Some nurses in the United States and globally are retiring and quitting. The 12-hour shifts up to 5 and 6 days per week may be responsible for part of this loss, because the shortage was already under way when the wonderful system of three day’s of 12-hour shifts became popular. Now it’s 5 or 6 days with requests for additional work as well. Nurses are burning out on this schedule.

Further, nursing schools across America have difficulty expanding their capacity to meet an increasing demand for care. In fact, these schools are experiencing a shortage of nursing instructors.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Employment Projections to 2022, the Registered Nurse (RN) is in the top occupations for job growth. America needs more nurses. The also country needs LPNs, LVNs, and even thousands more Certified Nursing Aides. The RN shortage is likely to be strongest the American South and the West through 2030, perhaps because many retirees move tho these locales.

What can America do about its RN Nursing Shortage?

Today, you may need to move to a different state in order to earn a livable wage. Luckily, America has several states that are good for your move.

At least 10 states have low unemployment rates, which usually means that they have not enough workers to fill advertised positions. They need more people to come into their cities to work.

Another several states are low in job competition, meaning that not so many are fighting for the same job there.

If you would like to move to another US State or from Canada to America, you may like the extensive information on how to begin and how to succeed at your quest, all presented at:

DID YOU KNOW? —

Some people attend Disneyland in California as children, work part-time for Disney in high school, serve an internship with Mickey, work full-time in a career at the park, and come back to work part-time in retirement. In effect, they never leave Disneyland, the Magic Kingdom in Florida, and/or several other Disney parks. it sure is good to have a long-term job!

Disney characters tell us that A dream is a wish your heart makes.  For the happy workers who keep jobs from high school through retirement, their dreams are a life-long reality.

Look at Disney jobs and internships and the movie Tomorrowland (2015).

The Aerospace Industry is beginning an upsurge during QT2 2015 that includes plans for new drone-related businesses and jobs.

The Ohio Space Corridor through Cincinnati – Dayton – Columbus  already brings in $8 billion to Ohio every year and expects to increase this by 3,000 jobs and millions of new revenue dollars. Meanwhile, the national forecast is for 100,000 new jobs and $90 billion of business.

Drones have gone into the private sector, too, for commercial and non-profit uses.

The FAA is writing rules for flying drones that weigh under 55 pounds, specifically for civilian airspace. The Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International believes that adding drones into the civilian arena can offer thousands of jobs by 2025 in Ohio and tens of thousands to the USA.

What is a Job Personality?

Job Personality — A set of beliefs, attitudes, values, behaviors, talents, and skills that go into determining what kind of work is best suited to you, which work you will enjoy, and what type of work will be the most productive for your employer and yourSelf.

It is what you do at work that makes you happy and makes you most productive at the same time.

You need to have certain values and motivating factors met on the job for it to be worthwhile for you to do and to produce good results. It is all part of your whole, integrated Self, the total YOU that is very important.

Texas is steadily maintaining a sizable pool of job advertisements, with help from the Aerospace and Healthcare Industries, along with Oil & Gas. That’s despite the blocking of the last leg of the Keystone XL Pipeline. Trucks are carrying the oil and tar sands down from Canada and that has led to an increase in trucking jobs to just about 1,000,000 truck drivers needed in America. That is good news! These are permanent jobs, whereas the Pipeline jobs created would have lasted only a matter of several months, except for a handful of supervisors and engineers.

Texas is good news for business and workers also, because there is no state income tax, but plenty of business incentives offered. On top of that is the network available for people ages 55 and older to use free-of-charge for finding jobs, housing, and other opportunities.

It may be hot in parts of Texas, but the job opportunities are hotter.

Chicago, home of Second City and the First Family – the Obamas,  offers oceans of opportunities for career and education seekers. A very progressive city, it hosts green initiative projects with hundreds of green collar jobs and research opportunities, a respected tradition of criminology based in change through rehabilitation and prevention, cutting edge healthcare, famous architecture styles, amazing culinary training, and successful social services and women’s organizations.

During Welfare to Work (W2W) years under President Bill Clinton, Chicago agencies helped 100s of folks obtain a car to drive to work, rather than to sit home without transportation or a job. Right now, thousands of jobs are available – on average, 150,000 to 250,00+ each month since 2012.
