Six Stories Of Mars That Will Affect You

Japanese Space Agency (JAXA), NASA, and US Air Force formed a combined military air force or space force (the Japanese preference) in 2015. Plans are to begin operations to remove space debris (thousands of trashed items) sometime between early 2017 and 2019 (reference: hub.me/agIV8).

Japanese friends in the business call the aerospace frontier The Fourth Battlefield – according to Kelsey-Campbell Dollaghan in GISMODO under a heading at “Star Wars.”

It is a good place to gather additional tourism dollars as well – the Moon, Mars, Jupiter…

How do you feel about a combined Air Force?

The two nations have several aerospace projects already in spacecraft design and spacecraft component manufacture, forecasting hurricanes, and other space age concepts.

Many projects are ongoing or set to begin in the near future in the space above Earth. Find out more here. Captain Video, Space Patrol, and Star Trek are becoming more real than ever.

A visit to a Starbucks in a rich suburb in Mid-Ohio at about 2:30pm on a weekday was a total nightmare!

The four staff people were very upbeat and personable – even efficient. But the 50 high school and middle school students who ganged into the place because the town has no MacDonald’s were aliens from the Millennial Planet. They all had their communicators, though – expensive SmartPhones.

I like many Millennial people, even though a number of them seem to hate Generation Y, Baby Boomers, and any of The Greatest Generation left.

At this Starbucks in a posh neighborhood between the high school and a wonderfully well equipped, large public library, chaos reigned with shouting and screaming. In the middle of it, a teen boy rode a Razor scooter through the crowded dining area at moderate speed and no adult said a thing to him. Food and drinks were stolen from the display in front of the counter – no staff person said a thing, but saw it happen.

In a period of 20 minutes at the condiment bar, four teen boys poured out all of the half & half, whole milk, and skim milk into 12-oz cups set up for the water dispenser, added handfuls of Splenda packets, poured in all the vanilla and chocolate flavorings, and left with free drinks, all the napkins, and their six $600 iPhones.

Two of the thieving rich boys were Caucasian – they came back for refills, even asking the counter woman for more half & half – three African Americans, and one Hispanic. Adults were left with no milk products for their coffees, no napkins, and no respect. The African Americans spent at least $8 each, but does that entitle them to steal?

Is this Starbucks the equivalent to the VIP lounge at a luxury airline?

If we are going to pay workers $15.00/hour and charge megabucks for coffee drinks and food, then shouldn’t we expect a little peace and quiet along with some law and order in a restaurant?

Should tweens and teens really be given $200/week allowances and additional money every day for Starbucks?

What do you think, America? And how about our International friends – opinions?

An enlarging technical college in Dayton, Ohio is offering a Short-Term Technical Certificates in 24 to 25 hours of class time. This is all part of the growing business in the Ohio Space Corridor that is now stretching into Indiana.

The certificate allows its holders to quickly secure entry-level technical positions in the field of the Helper Drone manufacturing and operation – search and rescue, agriculture, medicine and other supply deliveries, and other positive uses of drones.

Organized scientific projects join with Research Triangle Park professionals to link the Roanoke Lost Colonists and current descendants of early Native American peoples they met in. Some of the researchers are descendants, themselves.

The Croatan People are not extinct, either. Their descendants live in North Carolina today.

Evidence has been found in old and new maps of the area, archaeological artifacts, a buried fort on the 42-mile long Hatteras Island, and DNA markers, as well as oral histories of the descendants of mixed marriages among the English and the Croatan and other Native Peoples beginning in the late 1580s.

In late September 2015, Boeing Co. announced a $1Trillion potential set of passenger airplane orders from China.   In order to compete with European aircraft manufacturers, Boeing also plans to build an assembly plant right inside China. With the worth of future orders already surpasses that of current leader, France’s Airbus Group, Boeing may take over the leadership sometime between 2015 – 2035 and hopefully before 2020.

Bowing is a major member of the exciting and innovative NASA Commercial Crew group of private businesses. Boeing is developing new aircraft and space craft, from its 737 narrow-body airliner to its huge 787 Dreamliner to its space-going CST-100 Starliner.  We will see many more in the future.

Considering all these events and the fact that US workers will not lose aircraft jobs to China, additional jobs will be created in aircraft manufacturing on the West Coast and Gulf Coast. On the Texas Gulf Coast, for instance, at least one private company is in the process of building an engine manufacturing plant and a space launch platform for private aerospace business. Alabama has opened a new airline assembly plant for the French in Mobile. The drone business, especially for search and rescue, is set to bring in billions of USD in  revenues as well, especially in Ohio.

Are we making a mistake by manufacturing airliners for the Chinese government or is it good business? Feel free to make your comments below.

What is more important? —

1. To return the name of a mountain to its original, legally certified name or

2. To help thousands of men, women and children as their villages wash out to sea nearby?

By the year 2025, when two aerospace projects plan to be running on Mars, the US Army Corps of Engineers says that the native village of Kivalina and a string of other Athabaskan villages along the North Shore of Alaska will have submerged. A few are already gone in 2015.

Many have no running water, no toilets, and no cemeteries (they washed out to sea). The people need help moving.

However, Ohio legislators fight with President Obama for taking away the illegally-bestowed name of “Mount McKinley”, named in tribute to the man when he was the Republican candidate for POTUS, by a gold hunter in 1896.

The ancestors of the people whose villages are washing away in storms and erosion named the mountain thousands of years ago and the State of Alaska agency in charge of these names legally accepted it long ago.

So, what is more important – a Republican name on a mountain, or helping the homeless families, including infants and children?

How will fast food as an industry handle the increase to a $15.00 per hour Federal Minimum Wage?

First off, many will simply close down. Others will limit their menus, offer additional or longer periods of Drive-Thru times and close the dining room early or go to All-Drive-Thru service. and some will raise menu prices too high.

McDonald’s has found that tactics that helped them absorb the 2009 Federal Minimum Wage Increase are not working now. Because of this, the company allegedly plans to eliminate part of its human crew members with robots – but, this is really still a rumor. Those few remaining humans would  be robotics technicians and that is a good thing, since that work requires more skills and a higher salary to go with them.

Will a Phoenix Arizona McDonald’s go all-robot soon? Probably not, but it’s fun to think about. After all, sci-fi author Arthur C. Clarke was the first to think up communications satellites (ComSats) and we have them all over the near-Earth cosmos now!

US National Book Festival, Historic Words And Reading Education

From Native American poetry to Classics, songs, and graphic novels, how can we not be proud of America’s literary development? Come celebrate literacy and literature of all sorts in DC this September 5, 2015 from 9am – 10 pm. Free admission!

This year’s festival is a tribute to the 200th Anniversary of Thomas Jefferson’s donation of all of his personal papers and books for the Thomas Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress.  During the War of 1912 – 1814, the British burned 3,000 books belonging to the US Congress and took 10,000 American military and civilians captive, jailing them at Dartmoor prison in England. it was a horrible time.

Thomas Jefferson offered his personal library to replace those burned volumes, but it took us until 1815 – a full year after the war was over – to gain the release of all of our prisoners. Today, the British and filks all over the UK came to our National Book festival to speak, to sign books, and to visit the kiosks.

Times change, but books are always good.

Today, you may need to move to a different state in order to earn a livable wage. Luckily, America has several states that are good for your move.

At least 10 states have low unemployment rates, which usually means that they have not enough workers to fill advertised positions. They need more people to come into their cities to work.

Another several states are low in job competition, meaning that not so many are fighting for the same job there.

If you would like to move to another US State or from Canada to America, you may like the extensive information on how to begin and how to succeed at your quest, all presented at:
