Mushrooms Treat Breast Cancer, Digest Plastic and  Make Sustainable Styrofoam

Research shows that taxol from the Pacific yew and other plants in combination with a fungus (e.g. mushroom) is effective in the treating several types of cancers.

More good news is that the second of two refinements of taxol used in chemotherapy also dissolves plastics completely away.

A third flash is that another substance found on mushrooms can be grown in containers (brick and concrete block molds) to create strong yet biodegradable building materials.

It looks like we have found cures for some cancers, cures for the Pacific Garbage Patch (there are 5 patches around the world) and a cure for non-sustainable building. Enjoy!
