From 2010 to 2011, job increases showed up in surprising industries:
- Transportation – 91% increase
- Manufacturing – 60% increase
Ever since George W. Bush was President, voices have shouted that there are no manufacturing jobs in America. This is incorrect, but a large portion of such jobs are centered in other industries now, instead of auto parts and the creation of heavy industry machines. Bioengineering and biomedical manufacturing as well as computer and component manufacturing are taking the new lead.
Healthcare and IT job number have increased considerably as well.
Education related jobs are not among the top fields of job increases, but they are increasing somewhat.
Education was 11th out of 13 job-increasing industries – a 22% increase.
