Number Two Richest City

The Village of Kenilworth to the north of Chicago has access to 109,200+ jobs in February 2011.

It is likely successful, because it is officially a planned community. Many of these are wealthy, backed by talented land and housing developers in partnership with government and local business enterprises.

Kenilworth is is different in that it was originated back in 1889.  A colleague of Frank Lloyd Wright designed many homes in the village and other installations emerged in this popular Prairie Style. Planning and implementation of improvements have continued ever since.

The Village is home to limited commercial businesses, single-family dwellings, and rental properties. Affordable housing is part of the mix and Village leaders promised in 2003 to raise the affordable housing to 10% of the total residential units. Kenilworth will expand by redeveloping and bulding upwards.
