Gaithersburg MD was built around a legendary tree, the Forest Oak that lived for 300 years.  The city began with one house by that tree in 1802. Today,  Gaithersburg is the 25th Best Place to Live in America, according to the analysts at Money Magazine online in 2010.

the city has one of the largest collections of National Historic Places in the nation, including important historical installations from before the US Space Program began in the 1950s. In fact, the Gaithersburg Lattitude Observatory dates back to 1899 and the data collected by its telescope are still used by scientists in 2010. At least 200 other great attractions are within easy access via outstanding transportation options and nearby Washington DC.

Gaithersburg is also a college town and located in a healthy economy. City leaders are looking to draw additional residents and even more business to the city, so this may be the place for your next move up on your career ladder. Over 200,000 job openings are listed in October 2010.
