…and keep working if you want to do so. The University of Florida (UF) draws in grant money, new residents, new businesses, and increasing tourism around a college town that is hardly touched by a  recession.  Gainesville is an enjoyable and affordable place to retire, attend school, or to work and raise a family.

This area of Florida is exciting as well, near the Everglades where you can see crocodiles and alligators in the same place, and close to Disney World. Right on the Gulf of Mexico,  this is a leader in beaches, golf, tennis, and animal preserves, including protected species.

There is always something to do in and around Gainesville and always news being made at UF. They’ve even invented a gadet for detecting clean hands among hospital staff! How great is that?

Taks a look at Gainesville, UF, and retirement activities.
