Boulder wants to grow and has a plan for expansion for 25 years.  In December of 2009, non-seasonal jobs numbers about 11,000. Boulder is near many other suburbs of Denver, which is itself only 28 miles away.  A high quality transportation system of highways and airports keeps traffic moving and new businesses coming into the area.

Boulder and its nearest fellow suburbs of Denver offer two dozen or more Unviersities and Colleges, including the University of Colorado and the Colorado School of Mining.  Note that EVERY graduate student at the mining school received up to $20,000 in stipends, along with tuition, some fees paid, etc.  as they perform research and teaching assistantships. This is a great place to prepare for a job in Mining, Chemistry, or Geology.
