I was recently asked what important events occurred on November 6 throughout history and found out some fascinating information:

On 11/06/1941, Joseph Stalin addressed the Soviet Union and told the people that even though 350,000 of their men had died in war, many more – 4.5 million – Germans had been slain, so USSR would of course be the victor of the war.  Interestingly, the USA had just given the USSR $1,000,000 that day.

And how about this one? –

The Confederacy’s SS Shenandoah finally surrendered in 1865, but only after going round the and capturing more vessels after the Civil War was over!

This is a good one –

In 1985, the US media reported that President Ronald Reagan had authorized arms shipment to Iran.
